Mario Batali Has Ditched Crocs, & Nothing Will Ever Be the Same

There are certain things in life we can always count on — pizza being delicious, the fact that it will always rain directly after I get a blowout and Mario Batali will always don his trademark orange Crocs.

Fans of Batali are used to his unique fashion sense, always footnoted by a pair of orange Crocs, whether he is cooking on The Chew or at his restaurants or just roaming the streets of New York City.

Except that isn’t even true anymore, and we don’t know what to believe. In a recent interview with GQ, the celebrity chef dropped a bombshell. "I'm away from Crocs now. I’m onto the Yeezys, just this week. And I will wear them everywhere," Batali told GQ. "Crocs are very comfortable — there's nothing wrong with Crocs — it's just that I'm moving on."

As the chef has 200 stockpiled Crocs, we imagine he had to do some major housecleaning to reflect this change, but whatever. You do you, Batali. We’ll forgive you for changing your shoes, but please never change your pasta.
