A candlelit meal. Surf ‘n’ turf. Strawberries for dessert. It’s the ultimate fantasy date night, made even more so because now I can imagine myself sharing a table with none other than two of the most lovable (and great-looking) politicians: President Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who shared such a meal Tuesday night.
The two were in Trudeau’s hometown of Montreal, where they stopped at the restaurant Liverpool House for dinner. The pair dined on an elegant, multicourse meal that included oysters, shrimp, halibut, steak, and lobster spaghetti, with a dessert of strawberry shortcake. Yum.
But the sweetest thing about the meal wasn’t the dessert — it was the internet’s reaction.

Everyone needs friends. Trudeau's dining with Obama. Harper visited Pres Bush. And Trump is screaming at a framed photograph of his father.

Okay but imagine if Trudeau and Obama went to dinner and then took Joe Biden out for ice cream after.

And no one can forget the meal’s final course — a warm hug between the two leaders. Can we get in on this???

Is Obama-Trudeau the internet’s new favorite Bromance? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But in the meantime, I hope someone’s going to throw ol’ Joe Biden a bone since we know he’s probably feeling a little jealous about the QT Trudeau got with his BFF — maybe French president Emmanuel Macron can take him out for a bite?!
