Just because you aren’t super hungry doesn’t mean you should order a small pizza.
According to AsapSCIENCE, it’s all in the equation. Buying a large pizza instead of a small saves you money in the long run, because it turns out (brace yourselves!) that a large 16-inch pizza is actually four times as big as an 8-inch small pizza.
I know, to us laypeople it seems like the 16-inch pizza would be merely twice the size of an 8-inch one. But four times? That’s just crazy! It turns out that a 16-incher has a total area of 200 square inches, while an 8-incher has only 50.
And, like, no large pizza is four times as expensive as a small (and if it is, probably no one is buying it). So even if you aren’t hungry, you should totally spring for the large pizza. You’ll get four times the food for just a little more money — your wallet (and, let’s be honest, your mouth) will thank you.
You can watch the video explaining the equation below. I would say take my word for it, but my math knowledge is sadly not on par with my pizza knowledge… which is actually terrifyingly impressive.
Now for the hard part — trying to not eat the large pizza in one go.
