We love the festive season; the only problem is our waistlines don’t (as we often tend to overindulge). And that’s exactly why this woman’s parody is so hilarious, because it really hits home.

Jordan Humphries from Lisburn, near Belfast, has made the best Mariah Carey “All I Want for Christmas” parody we’ve ever seen. It’s called “All I Want for Christmas Is Food” — and we can totally relate.
Humphries uploaded the video to her Facebook page along with the caption, “If, like me, the festive season has got you eating 24/7, you may enjoy my Christmas song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is Food’. Happy eating and happy holidays folks!” The amusing post shows her wearing a Christmas jumper (complete with Christmas pudding) while she sings about sinking her teeth into chocolate, Christmas puddings, ham and turkey and bread.
Lyrics include “It’s Christmas, so I’ve locked away my skinny jeans” and “I won’t leave no cake or cookies for Santa on the fireplace, I want all the cake and cookies shovelled right inside my face.” Preach, sister!

The post has gone viral, and it’s not hard to see why (it’s hilarious and witty). Comments on the video include “Haven’t ever heard truer words lol,” “I’m gonna b singin [sic] this song all year round haha” and “this isn’t just me at Christmas, this is life.”

So if you feel like overindulging and eating all the carbohydrate goodness this Christmas, don’t feel too bad, because you are most certainly not alone. And in the words of Humphries herself, “If you feel you’re getting plumper, hide it with a Christmas jumper.”
