Mini pumpkin corn dogs with maple mustard are fall's ultimate finger food

Pumpkin bread, pumpkin ale, pumpkin spice — all those are great, but what about savory pumpkin dishes?

When you consider that pumpkin season coincides with fair season and the beginning of football season, it all comes together. Oh, Bite It! realized that the ultimate savory pumpkin treat would combine the best of all these things into one bite-size snack: mini pumpkin corn dog bites with maple mustard.

It's the perfect solution for making sure these little fried pumpkin 'dogs don't taste too heavy like fried foods sometimes can, which means you can eat more of them, obviously.

The best part is, the recipe doesn't require a ton of work. All you need are some Lit'l Smokies, corn muffin mix, pumpkin puree, pretzel rods and a few pantry staples. It's also a great excuse to treat yourself to some of that pure maple syrup you've had your eye on (it really does make a difference).

Next thing you know, you'll be snacking on the ultimate fall finger food while cozied up in front of the fire, watching the big game. It doesn't get better than that.
