Slow cookers aren’t solely for the winter. Did you know you can easily make dessert in a slow cooker? This slow cooker strawberry cobbler is something family and guests will love chowing down on in the summertime heat — but you can leave that oven off!

You can use fresh or frozen fruit for this fab cobbler, and the results are amazingly delicious.

You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make too. I used frozen strawberries because it was convenient, but you can absolutely use fresh. The topping is one of the best features: Oatmeal and brown sugar mingle with ground almonds and other flavors for a delightful, slightly crunchy topping. Garnish with vanilla ice cream or a cloud of whipped topping.

This classic dessert is both comforting and delicious. Serve this in the summer using your favorite fruit. Mix and match the fruit (think peaches and blueberries), or go solo like with this strawberry version. You might even shave a bit of chocolate over the top for something extra special!
