Mark your calendars — Applebee’s is giving away free food

After revitalizing their menu, Applebee’s has a treat in store.

All day July 21, Applebee’s will be giving out free appetizers. It’s all part of their “Taste The Change” event, as they have recently amped up their menu. To celebrate the restaurant’s 35th anniversary, the chain created new and improved dishes and they’re anxious for us to try them.

All 2,000 restaurants will be participating in the event, and Applebee’s estimates that about two million plates will be served.

Customers will be able to choose between two new appetizers: Sriracha Shrimp, which is “high quality shrimp, fried with Applebee’s special coating, which provides a light, flaky crunch, then tossed in a Sriracha Chile Lime sauce,” and Churro S’mores, “twisted cinnamon churro twists, served with a warm marshmallow and chocolate dip.” Guests will also be given the option to add on other appetizers at lower prices.

The event will go on from 11 a.m. to close on July 21, and we’ll be there to try those Churro S’mores.
