Boozy salted caramel iced coffee: The best breakfast-cocktail hybrid ever?
Your morning coffee doesn't have to be boring. This spiked version gives you a little extra fuel to your normal morning cup of joe. Now, I wouldn't recommend giving this drink a try on a Monday morning, but it is the perfect way to start the weekend. Ice-cold, with just a hint of caramel and rum flavors... What's not to love?
If iced coffee isn't your thing, you could also make this with hot coffee. I think it would make the perfect ski slope cocktail in the winter. However, until the snow starts falling, I recommend drinking this iced-style by the pool.
Salted caramel spiked iced coffee recipe
An easy iced coffee cocktail spiked with the flavors of salted caramel and dark spiced rum.
Total time: 5 minutes
- 1 cup iced coffee
- 2 ounces dark rum
- 1 tablespoon salted caramel, plus more for drizzling on top (optional)
- Whipped cream
- To a large shaker, add the ice, coffee, rum and salted caramel.
- Shake to combine, and pour into 2 glasses.
- Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of salted caramel, if desired.
