Deep-fried dirty martini bites are a genius way to improve happy hour

You might think that there is no way to improve upon the classic dirty martini. You would be wrong.

There are a couple surefire ways to improve just about any food and drink. One way is to add bacon, obviously. The other way is to deep-fry it. (Sometimes you do both for mind-blowing results.)

Amy at Oh, Bite It! decided to try the latter with a dirty martini, and I think her deep-fried boozy olives might trump the cocktail. And think about this: You now have the option to garnish your dirty martini with more dirty martini. Pure genius.

You probably want to think about whipping up these little bites of heaven before you knock back too many dirty martinis, though. Large amounts of hot oil are best handled when mostly sober. Not that I speak from experience or anything.
