Girl Scouts release new gluten-free cookies for 2015
Did you go gluten-free ages ago but still miss your Girl Scout Cookies? Well, you're in luck! For fans of the ever-popular cookies (and, like, who doesn't love them?), there are three new versions that will be available this year —including two gluten-free flavors!
Personally, there is nothing I love more than opening my freezer and pulling out a good old-fashioned Thin Mint, frozen to perfection. The chocolate and mint flavors have always been my favorite, but I'm not going to lie — these new Girl Scout Cookies are very intriguing!
What are they, you ask? First, there's Toffee-tastic, a buttery cookie with toffee bits that's gluten-free. Joining in the gluten-free ranks is also the Trios cookie, which contains peanut butter, chocolate chips and whole grain oats. So, basically, heaven in my mouth. It sounds like a Reese's Pieces but, you know, better. Whether you have a gluten intolerance or not, this cookie certainly sounds like a winner.
Last, but certainly not least, are the Rah-Rah Raisins. As you would imagine, it's an oatmeal raisin cookie that is made with whole grain oats, raisins and Greek yogurt-flavored chunks. Dare we say it's even a bit on the healthy side?
I don't know about you, but I'll be running to the nearest Girl Scout I know — or, even easier — stocking up on each and every new cookie (and, let's admit it now: some of the old ones) with their newly-launched online sales platform. The only question is: How much do I want to indulge, a lot or a ton?
