Mint Julep

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 parts bourbon
  • 6–8 leaves of fresh mint
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • splash of water
  • confectioner’s sugar

Directions:

  1. Muddle together the simple syrup and mint leaves.
  2. Add bourbon and water. Pour over ice and sprinkle with sugar.
  3. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

The Canadian

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts bourbon
  • 1 part pure maple syrup
  • 1 part strained lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Lightly shake over ice in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain and pour into a rocks (old-fashioned) glass.

Sidecar

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts bourbon
  • 1 part Triple Sec
  • 1/2 part fresh lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Lightly shake over ice in cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain and pour into a rocks (old-fashioned) glass.

Bourbon Bubble

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts bourbon
  • 1 part carbonated water or club soda
  • a twist of lemon peel for garnish

Directions:

  1. Pour Bourbon into an old-fashioned glass.
  2. Add carbonated water and ice.
  3. Stir and garnish with lemon peel
