Real World alumnus is making us hungry by singing songs about food (VIDEO)

Who ever said a stint on The Real World wouldn't lead to success in the real world?

It only makes sense that former cast members would flock to YouTube. After all, they were basically told their every last move, from showering to clubbing, was worthy of TV, and exhibitionism dies hard.

Or at least it does for David Broom. The former Real World: New Orleans castmate (who now goes by Tokyo Niyeli — don't ask) sang once on the show, but his new videos are really, um... something.

He croons about apple pie, noodles and popcorn, all while cooking the dish in question. And although it's really weird, it's not altogether unpleasant. I mean, I can think of worse ways to learn how to cook ramen.

His song "Poodles and Noodles" is surprisingly catchy, and Chef Showtime sings about why he's making it ("Cuz I'm broke on my last dime"), how to make it ("Cut the hot dogs like you 'bout to throw some dice"), and once it's done, well, then you're a "Ramen Noodle Gangsta Pimp."

I don't know about that, but if you're as intrigued to see his other videos as I am, then you can check out his YouTube page here. And who knows? Maybe a singing cooking show about ramen is just what MTV has been waiting for now that The Real World is no longer on air.
