Take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday to get the best foodie gifts for everyone on your list (including you!).

Get your foodie
shopping done cheap
Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving when every major department store and big box retailer in the U.S. runs some truly magnificent sales) and Cyber Monday (the Monday afterward when people take to the internet for more deals) are excellent days to stretch your Christmas budget. During these two shopper’s holidays, just about everything goes on sale from clothes to games and computers. But where are the best deals on foodie gifts? What stores have the best deals on food, kitchen gadgets and appliances in 2013?
Shopping Black Friday requires a steely disposition, excellent planning and, sometimes, running over your fellow shopper with a shopping cart. It can be rough, it can be terrifying, it can be harrowing and it can require you to wake up at 4 a.m. to go shopping, but it can also be a tremendous way to save money this Christmas. While we can’t help you set a second (or third) alarm or call out when another kamikaze bargain hunter is about to throw an elbow, we can let you know which stores have the best deals on foodie gifts this year so that at least you have a plan. The rest is up to you.
Amazon
If you’re looking for the store that has everything, Amazon should be the first (and maybe only) stop. The huge electronic retailer has just about everything the foodie needs from exotic ingredients to cookware and fancy aprons. Even better, despite the fact that they usually sell products at a discount, they’re having a huge Black Friday sale that includes a number of products, mostly kitchen appliances.
However, the real gem of Amazon.com’s holiday sale is their 15 percent off Hershey’s chocolate sale. This is not just plain Hershey’s kisses, there are tons of chocolate products you can get at a reduced rate. Hard to beat that.
Wal-Mart
If you’re looking to buy someone a kitchen appliance, Wal-Mart and WalMart.com are the places for you. Their ad circular for Black Friday includes some tremendous deals on toaster ovens, mixers, mini chops, griddles, Ninja chops and other products. You can stock someone’s kitchen and still have plenty of money leftover.
Target
The bigger stores love to give discounts on small kitchen appliances and Target is no different. In their Black Friday ad, you’ll see great prices on many small appliances from blenders to coffee pots to microwaves. However, their best deal is probably a Nespresso coffee machine at more than $30 off.
Kohl’s
Like Wal-Mart and Target, Kohl’s Black Friday sale has a lot of small kitchen appliances for foodies. Many of these items are comparable to Wal-Mart (though Wal-Mart is much, much cheaper), however, Kohl’s does have several other fun and high-end products, like a cake pop maker for less than $10 and $60 off select Keurig coffee machines.
Overstock.com
Overstock.com is another great retailer for finding products at a discount this Cyber Monday. They don’t have quite the range of items as Amazon, but they do have tremendous specials on American Atelier tableware and a fantastically cheap Ninja 3-in-1 cooker.
Best Buy
When it comes to your bigger kitchen appliances, Best Buy has you covered. While their smaller kitchen gadgets are on sale, if you’re in the market for a dishwasher or refrigerator, you can save hundreds (in some cases up to $1,500) on your biggest kitchen needs.
Whole Foods
Not every Whole Foods is getting into the Black Friday mood, but those in the southern Midwest are running a great little special on a number of their popular in-store items. This includes 20 percent off wine purchases, which is perfect for the foodies on your list and for you after shopping.
Macy’s
Macy’s is the place for dinnerware this holiday season. If you’re looking for a new set of stemware, they are offering a buy three, get one free special. Plate sets that normally go for more than $300 are now $99 and certain flatware is 50 percent off. That includes the top name brands, too.
Queen Creek Olive Mill
Queen Creek Olive Mill is known for the gourmet olive oils and olive oil gifts. If you want to give your favorite foodie an ingredient they can cook, take advantage of Queen Creek’s 20 percent off coupon for Cyber Monday.
GetMaineLobster.com
While not a Black Friday/Cyber Monday-only deal, right now GetMaineLobster.com has a fantastic deal. For $140, you can have Maine lobster tails and clam chowder delivered to a foodie’s door so they can have a truly gourmet meal.
