Bananas Foster

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • t

  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • t

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • t

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • t

  • 4 small bananas, peeled, sliced in large chunks
  • t

  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped nuts of your choice
  • t

  • Dairy-free vanilla ice cream

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the coconut oil.

  3. When oil is hot, add sugar and stir until combined.

  5. Add extracts and cinnamon and bring to a simmer.

  7. Add bananas and nuts. Cook, stirring often, until bananas are hot and glazed.
