Fruit Crumble Topping

Makes 6 cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • t

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • t

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • t

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • t

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • t

  • 1-1/2 cups vegan butter, chilled, in pieces
  • t

  • 1 cup sliced almonds, chopped walnuts, or chopped pecans

Directions:

    t

  1. Place all ingredients except butter and nuts in a food processor and pulse a few times to combine.
  2. t

  3. Add butter and pulse until mixture looks like coarse meal with pea-sized pieces.
  4. t

  5. Transfer crumble topping to an airtight container and stir in almonds.
  6. t

  7. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 month.
