Singer and songwriter Jason Mraz has been following a strict plant-based diet for the past four months and says it’s made both his mind and body feel fitter.

Mraz writes on his website that he’s “feeling stronger, fitter, healthier and more productive. I ride longer distances on my bike, can do more pull-ups than ever, and my brain seems to have a larger capacity for new projects, problem solving, songwriting, and fielding random questions.”

Can a plant-based diet make you a better lover?

According to Mraz, being an herbivore has not only boosted his confidence and made him a better performer, it has other benefits. He writes, “It also makes me a lot better in bed.”

What was Mraz’s inspiration for plant-based fare? “For those curious or concerned about a plant-based diet, check out the film Forks Over Knives,” writes Mraz. “It’s a life changer.”

Launched in March 2011, Forks over Knives is a documentary on how eliminating animal-based foods and processed foods from our daily diet can protect us from most degenerative diseases.
