Slow Cooker Stuffed Quince

One of the least familiar fruits, the quince resembles a pear, but can't be eaten as easily as a pear. This unusual piece of produce needs to be cooked before it is edible. Here is one of our favorite slow cooked stuffed quince recipes

Slow Cooker Stuffed Quince (Serves 4)


  • 4 quince, cored
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 teaspoons vegan butter
  • 3/4 cup water


  1. Combine remaining ingredients except butter and water, and stuff the cored quince with the mixture.
  2. Dot each quince with 1/2 teaspoon butter. Place in a slow cooker.
  3. Pour water into slow cooker, cover, and cook on LOW for 8 hours.
  4. Serve warm.
