Lana Del Rey cancels European tour due to mystery illness

If you live in Europe and were hoping to attend a Lana Del Rey concert there, then, unfortunately, there is some bad news for you: The songstress has been forced to cancel all of her European performances and promotional commitments because of a mystery illness.

Del Rey has been promoting her latest album, Ultraviolence, and just a few days after the songstress canceled two private concerts for Virgin Radio listeners in Paris, France, she was forced to cancel all of her upcoming performances for medical reasons.

“For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days,” her labels Polydor and Universal Music label said in a joint statement to MTV.

Del Rey also had to cancel a scheduled appearance with Zane Lowe in Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

No word yet on what mystery illness the “Summertime Sadness” hit maker is suffering from, but this is not the first time Del Rey has had health problems.

“I’d been sick on tour for about two years with this medical anomaly that doctors couldn’t figure out. That’s a big part of my life: I just feel really sick a lot of the time and can’t figure out why,” she previously said according to Heat World.

The brunette beauty also has been unusually quiet via social media in recent weeks. We’re not sure if that’s reason for some concern, but it is a little out of character.

Perhaps Del Rey just needs a break? Here’s hoping her illness is nothing too serious and that the “Born to Die” singer manages to make a quick recovery so we can see her at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, this weekend.
