October Movies We’re Most Excited For

With Halloween as the bloodstained bow that ties up the end of October, this is the month to catch all the best horror flicks. Fan favorite Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Laurie Strode, the woman who was attacked by a masked murderer in Halloween 40 years ago and barely escaped to tell the tale. The new movie is written by comedic actor Danny McBride (Eastbound and Down) and David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express), so we expect the blood and gore of Halloween to be balanced with lots of humor.

Your kids will definitely want to see the sequel to Goosebumps, the comedy inspired by the best-selling books by R.L. Stine. For date night, why not consider Await Further Instructions, a psychological horror film where people are left at the mercy of their televisions?

If you’re not looking for a fright, there are plenty of other great films to see this month, like the latest remake of A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. We expect the music to be fantastic. If a journey into outer space is more your thing, you’ll definitely want to check out First Man, starring Ryan Gosling as astronaut Neil Armstrong.
