We’ve learned over the years that Hollywood is notoriously bad for marriages and dating — in 2017, we witnessed the downfall of powerhouse couples like Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris and Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers; so far, 2018 similarly hasn’t spared many beloved celebrity couples from experiencing that same heartbreak. As we near the end of the year, the list of Hollywood couples calling it quits is stacking up and is a reminder of just how many celebs are re-entering the dating market (if they want to).
Sure, there is still hope. New Hollywood couples are always popping up and stealing our hearts. But still, looking at the list of celebs here who have parted ways thus far — including Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum, and even Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson — reminds us that just in the realm of celebrity splits alone, so much has happened in 2018.
Scroll through our slideshow to see which celeb couples have ended their relationships so far this year. Warning: You might want to grab some tissues. This is a rough one.

"Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,” the statement reads. “Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another."
