20 Times Viola Davis Was a Vision of Perfection on the Red Carpet

Make no mistake: Pure raw talent and incredibly hard work got Viola Davis where she is today. After graduating from the über-prestigious Julliard School in 1993, she hit the stage running and won her first Obie Award in 1999. She is the only black actor to win the Triple Crown of acting: Tony Awards in 2001 for King Hedley II and in 2010 for Fences, a 2015 Emmy for How to Get Away with Murder and of course, her 2016 win for the film version of Fences. And that’s just a few of the accolades Davis has earned over her storied career — in all, she’s collected 93 wins and 199 nominations across film, television and stage, and she’s not even close to being done yet.

What does all this mean other than showing that Davis is an incredible actor? It means lots and lots of red carpet appearances, and lucky for us, one of her many talents is always looking 100 percent on point when it comes to the photo line. Let’s take a peek at some of her best red carpet looks throughout the years.
