Prince Harry’s naked pics from a Las Vegas partying binge shocked the world, but fortunately it may have taught him a thing or two. Since flashing his royal jewels for all the world to see, Prince Harry’s changed his tune and successfully mended his bad-boy, shame-to-the-Royal-family reputation. Maybe the scandal was just what he needed to use his platform and the royal spotlight for good. Here’s what he’s been up to in recent years since…
Prince Harry is basically the jester at every royal event
He’s learning about HIV
Just a few days ago, Prince Harry visited Mildmay Mission Hospital in East London for the second time in recent months to talk with the staff and learn more about the HIV virus and testing. Prince Harry first visited last December when he publicly took an HIV test to encourage others to do the same. According to Kerry Reeves-Kneip, who showed Prince Harry around the hospital, the Prince plans to continue his visits – hopefully without media and attention – because he knows his mother Princess Diana cared deeply about it and frequented it throughout her life. Prince Harry is particularly interested in continuing to learn about the testing done to diagnose HIV and want to help break down the stigmas around the virus.
He served in Afghanistan
He played polo in America
He toured the Jersey shore
In May of 2013, not long after superstorm Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on the East Coast shoreline, Prince Harry toured the storm damage and the rebuilding projects in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, with Governor Chris Christie.
He started the Invictus Games
After learning about the Warrior Games during his tour to the United States in 2013, Prince Harry decided to start his own competition for wounded veterans. The Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style multisport event, ran for the first time in 2014.
He turned 30
He wrote a letter to Orlando’s mayor
After the tragic shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub in 2016, Prince Harry penned a letter to the mayor of Orlando, stating: “I wanted to write and express my most sincere condolences to the people of Orlando after the horrific attack on the Pulse nightclub on Sunday. Having just spent time in Orlando, I know what a warm and welcoming community it is. In spite of this senseless act, I have no doubt that the love and friendship of your city will remain strong.”
