Samuel L. Jackson was right during his own BET Awards acceptance speech: “Jesse is the closest thing I’ve heard to a 1960s activist. That brother is right, he’s true.” We haven’t seen anyone quite like Jesse Williams in some time– all the more reason his Humanitarian Award speech was so moving.
