Fast forward to March 2015, and the rumors start swirling again after a source tells People magazine that Foxx and Holmes often spend hours on end enjoying each other’s company.
It was around this time that we started to notice that a Foxx/Holmes relationship would actually make a lot of sense. They lived in the same area, they share the same profession, they’re both single parents raising young daughters, they run in the same circles and they both value their privacy.
Kinda sounds like a match made in heaven, doesn’t it?
Also in March 2015, a reported insider made some confusing statements about the Foxx/Holmes match up.
“This is not some intense romance,” the source told People magazine. “Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn… But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”
What in the heck does that even mean? The supposed source doesn’t exactly confirm Holmes and Foxx are dating, but they certainly don’t deny it, either.
Holmes and Foxx say they aren’t dating, but there’s usually at least a grain of truth to persistent Hollywood rumors.
Sources have also said that the long-time relationship is no secret among their friends, but just as many sources say that Holmes and Foxx are just friends themselves, nothing more.So what’s the deal? They’ve never been formally photographed together, they don’t attend events together, and both of their reps vehemently deny any kind of love connection — yet the internet seems convinced there’s something going on.
A source told E! News that after her divorce from Tom Cruise, Holmes is not interested in having her life “dragged through the tabloids” again. So, ultimately, I guess the deal is they want to be left the hell alone.
