Prince tributes at Coachella brought tears to concert-goers eyes

Dr. Dre proudly donned a shirt with Prince’s insignia during his cameo with Anderson Paak.

Axl Rose honored Prince with a personal anecdote about owning Purple Rain on laser disc, according to Rolling Stone.

“I’d like to dedicate this show to my man Prince Rogers Nelson,” Ice Cube said while on stage.

Stevens made a cameo during Gallant’s set and the two performed a gorgeous cover of “Purple Rain.”

The band covered a less known 1981 Prince track titled “Controversy.”

Joey Bada$$ displayed Prince’s insignia as “1999” played in the background.
