In a truly crazy allegation, a source claims that Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, and Jay Z went on excursions soliciting prostitutes together.
“One day while Jay and Mathew were at the Beverly Wilshire hotel [in Beverly Hills], a prostitute showed up and caused a huge scene out front,” an insider told In Touchmagazine. “She was screaming wildly that they needed to pay her for [sleeping with] them both.”
The insider added that “there were endless women around for both Jay Z and Mathew.”
As horrible as it is to be accused of sleeping with hookers and involving your son-in-law, it’s not even the worst rumor involving Mathew.
According to In Touch, the entire family has been forced to deal with Mathew’s violent behavior, and one sad story paints the picture of horrible abuse. A source says Mathew “lost it” on Beyoncé’s younger sister, Solange, in 2008, badly injuring her.
“During a sound check and rehearsal in New York, Mathew said that he snapped and threw Solange against a wall, punched her and knocked her out cold,” said the source.
The same insider claimed that Mathew had been drugging is then-wife, Tina Knowles, to keep her under his control.
Sounds ridiculous, but some people believed the claims at the time because of the divorce rumors that were already circulating. However, Seals also reportedly brought similar suits against Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, and Michael Jackson’s children Prince, Paris and Blanket, so there’s most likely no credence to her accusations.
Another reason naysayers might believe Seals over Beyoncé and Jay Z? There was a conspiracy theory going around at the time that Beyoncé faked being pregnant for the media and wore a faux bump and actually had Blue Ivy via a surrogate.
Cashmere publicly stated on Twitter that the child was not Jay Z’s, but sources close to him claimed he had paid her off with hush money and bought her a $2.5-million home to keep her quiet, according to Radar Online.
The lyrics allege that Jay Z was more attracted to Liv than Beyoncé and that he could be more of himself with her. Liv also chastises Beyoncé for her “surfbort” lyrics in “Drunk in Love,” insinuating that she needs to act like a married woman and set a better example for young fans.
In 2011, Star magazine reported that Jay Z had fathered a baby boy nine years prior with Trinidad model, Shenelle Scott, according to Entertainment Tonight. Other outlets claimed that DNA tests had been done to prove that Jay Z was, in fact, the father.
Jay Z has never claimed or admitted to fathering the child
Satterthwaite, along with his legal guardian, Lillie Coley, filed a suit in New Jersey that claimed Jay Z submitted fraudulent information to the court to intentionally discredit his paternity claim. In addition, the suit alleged that Jay Z refused to take a paternity test, and the actions are said to have caused Satterthwaite both emotional and financial damage.
The vocals in question originally came from Mitsou’s 1995 song, “Bajba, Bajba Pélem,” a traditional folk song she recorded with her band Ando Drom. She says her voice is the one singing a cappella solo in “Drunk in Love” for the first 13 seconds and “her voice continues to sing” as Beyoncé also sings until the 41-second mark. She also says her voice joins in with Jay Z when he is rapping from minute 3:14 until the 4:05 mark, totaling 51 seconds. So, the complete amount of time of her lyrics in the song comes to 1.5 minutes.
There’s been a ton of speculation as to what caused the now-infamous elevator fight between Solange and Jay Z at the 2014 Met Gala, but one popular rumor is Solange was defending her sister’s honor.
Sources say Solange was mad because Jay Z had been heavily flirting with designer Rachel Roy during the ball, and that’s what caused her to fly off the handle when she confronted her brother-in-law in the elevator.
Upon their return from Havana, Beyoncé and Jay Z came under fire from Republican lawmakers Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, both representatives from Florida. The politicians sent a letter to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, asking for an investigation to find “information regarding the type of license that Beyoncé and Jay Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel.” Florida Sen. Marco Rubio also spoke out, voicing similar concerns.
It took a nine page report from the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Inspector General to clear Jay Z and Beyoncé’s controversial vacay. Apparently the pair’s trip to the embargoed island country didn’t violate any U.S. sanctions.
In 2013, Jay Z and Beyoncé reportedly fired their bodyguard, Norman Oosterbroek, because he had solicited prostitutes while on duty for the couple in Las Vegas, according to the New York Daily News. They had also been presented with photographic and video evidence of Oosterbroek committing lewd acts to photos of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy.
Not long after, Oosterbroek was killed by police after he forced his way into a neighbor’s home in the nude and swallowed drugs. He died after being tasered by authorities.
