Though it might still be up for debate, the annual Met Gala is the biggest red carpet of the year. From the annual extravagant theme (which will be in honor of Karl Lagerfeld this year) to the celebrities from every industry pulling out all their fashion stops, there’s nothing like the glitz and glamour of the Met.
And, given the event’s high importance, it’s no wonder it has also become the mecca of celebrity couples walking the carpet together, making their red carpet debuts and sharing sweet rare PDA moments.
One of our favorite couples, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, for example, not only made their red carpet debut on the Met steps in 2014, but they’ve also shared many adorable moments on the carpet. Most noticeable are the pictures of Reynolds just looking lovingly at his wife as she poses for pictures (and coincidentally matches the carpet year after year!). After all, Lively is the undisputed Queen of the Met Gala. We’d stop and stare too, Ryan!
Check out some of the cutest celebrity couples from Met Galas over the years below!
