Before actors embody their roles and directors call for “action,” TV shows, movies, limited series, and everything in between, begin with with a writer, a laptop, and a hopefully powerful story. After all, without a script, there’s nowhere to begin. So, as the awards show season continues in full swing, the Writers Guild Awards on March 5 celebrated the best and brightest writers in the business.

Among the big winners of the night were Everything Everywhere All at Once for original screenplay, Women Talking for adapted screenplay, The Bear for comedy series, Severance for drama series and for new series, The White Lotus for limited series, Better Call Saul for episodic drama and Hacks for episodic comedy.

As Everything Everywhere All at Once writers and directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert their award, Kwan showed his support for the guild.  “I’m so proud to be a part of the WGA,” he said. “What you do for the industry, you are a shining beacon. This award is for all of you guys, thank you so much for being so inspiring.”

In addition to appreciating their talents by watching their projects on the big or small screen, we also compiled the best-dressed looks of the night below!
