The NAACP Image Awards weren’t the only awards ceremony happening on Feb 25, because another star-studded ceremony was taking place at the same time at The Beverly Hilton.
Founded in 1990, the Producers Guild of America Awards (more commonly known as the PGA Awards) honors those who produce exceptional film and television content. Not only does the award ceremony honor the best limited series, animated films, and streaming content, but the biggest award of the night is the “Best Theatrical Motion Picture.” In previous years, recipients of the award have been classics like Titanic, Schindler’s List, American Beauty, and most recently, Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The reason this is so significant is that since 2009, only three movies have won at the PGA and not the Oscar for best picture. So that means the odds are definitely in their favor if they win the PGA.
Along with Everything Everywhere All at Once, projects like White Lotus, The Dropout, and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio were also honored!
But the esteemed awards weren’t the only thing everyone was buzzing about because the red-carpet fashion was the pinnacle of vibrance and elegance. From Sandra Oh’s yellow gown to Amanda Seyfried’s daring mini-dress, this red carpet had everything!
