When we hear the words “red carpet fashion,” we always can expect some spectacular gowns every single time from some of our favorite stars. From Jessica Chastain to the Williams sisters, they always dress to impress. But the unadulterated queen of red carpet gowns is, and probably always will be, Jennifer Lopez.
If there are two things we can always expect out of Lopez, it’s an amazing performance and a jaw-dropping gown that’s sure to go viral. Whether it’s a candid photo or the AMAs, Lopez always arrives in style. Everyone knew pretty early that Lopez was going to bring the amazing gowns every time, especially ever since her iconic gown at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
Whether you remember it or not, the green jungle-print gown Lopez wore to the Grammys in 2000 nearly broke the world. Often identified as the “first viral dress,” that outfit literally changed the internet. According to Billboard, “Google CEO Eric Schmidt has credited the dress with inspiring Google Images after it became ‘the most popular search query we had ever seen.'” But this dress wasn’t the only stunner she’s worn to a Grammy Awards.
