Leonardo DiCaprio is making real estate moves again this summer. Just a few months after dropping $7.1 million on Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s home (it was also owned by Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale back in the day), he’s selling his well-known Red Oak Manor estate in Los Feliz for $5.75 million. But the new home and the old home switcheroo aren’t for the Oscar winner, he’s setting his dad, George DiCaprio, up with those fresh $7.1 million digs.
Leonardo originally bought the Red Oak Manor property from musician Moby, who painstakingly restored the 1926 home to its full glory — wait until you see the craftsmanship in this place. The home may look small from the photos, but it’s spacious with 4,644 square feet, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
George only resided in the house for three years, but as a writer, we imagine he loved every minute of the office that is equipped with the perfect place to rest his head if he’s having writer’s block. The home also boasts the elite amenities that are required for superstar homes — a media room, pool and a home gym. But those are things to be enjoyed by the new owner because Leonardo’s father is now residing a Spanish-style home with a custom pool designed by Stefani herself.
