Hollywood is usually very fickle when it comes to real estate — they buy a home and then they are on the move again a few years later. But actress Kate Beckinsale is loyal to her Brentwood, California home that she bought in 2006 and is now ready to pass on to a new owner. She bought the property for $3.6 million and she’s only asking $3.995 million for it 15 years later — in the Los Angeles real estate market, that’s a deal.
The selling point of this home is its charm with a calming, serene wooded backyard that feels more like a tree house versus a fancy (but often cold) estate. The home has 3,603 square feet, four bedrooms and five bathrooms nestled on a small plot of land — that means no pool for this celebrity. But that shouldn’t deter a buyer looking for a lot of indoor-outdoor living and bright light, which is exactly what this property has.
Beckinsale might be moving out of this home now that her daughter Lily Mo Sheen, 22, from her relationship with actor Michael Sheen, is happily living in Manhattan, where the duo just had a long-awaited reunion after the pandemic kept them apart over the last two years. But it’s easy to see that the Jolt star’s home was filled with love and laughter when she was raising Lily on this charming property.
There’s no word on where Beckinsale is headed next, but we are guessing she’s going to miss that lofted bookcase in the home — it’s pretty spectacular. And don’t miss more photos of the Brentwood house at Dirt.
