While J.Lo may have cash to spare, this superstar isn’t known for spending her money on anything but the best. Exhibit A: Her jaw-dropping real estate portfolio, which includes a $25 million NYC penthouse (currently on the market!), a $28 million Bel Air mansion, a $10 million Hamptons estate, and an $8 million Malibu home. Previously owned by Jeremy Piven, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s beachfront Malibu home is the latest to go on the market — which means we’re finally getting a peek inside their SoCal paradise via Realtor.com. The extra-special cherry on top? The home was totally remodeled by none other than HGTV’s Joanna Gaines.
Let’s rewind. Lopez and Rodriguez didn’t just move into a ready as-is $8 million home back in 2019. That’s not to say it wasn’t fabulous in 2019, when they paid Entourage star Piven $6.6 million for the property. But it was Lopez’s determination to get this “fixer-upper” into tip-top shape that kicked the home’s value over the edge, with the couple looking to make a $1 million profit just a year after buying.
And while we’re sure Lopez’s own instincts would have taken her far, she enlisted the help of a professional in making her fixing-upping dreams come true. Joanna Gaines, the design and decor mastermind behind HGTV’s Fixer Upper, agreed to take on the remodeling project after a FaceTime date with Lopez. A few months (and a few adorable double dates) later, J-Rod was living in the house of their dreams, inside and out.
Now listed by Carl Gambino at Compass, here’s an inside look at the Gaines-designed, J-Rod-owned Malibu property up for sale.
