It may surprise some of you to learn that celebs are, in fact, not just like us at all. We may all be humans living on this earth together, and we may all share certain human experiences — but after my deep dive into the world of the largest, most extravagant celebrity homes out there, I’m forced to conclude that these celebs might have nothing in common with me at all. These eye-popping pieces of real estate all clock in at $25 million or higher, and offer a minimum of 5,000 square feet of living space, and that’s including the deluxe New York City penthouses on this list. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and so many more have designed luxurious dream homes beyond anything I’ve ever imagined. I won’t lie: my NYC non-penthouse has never felt smaller.
Scanning through the pages of amenities like koi ponds, golf courses, equestrian estates, helipads, infinity pools, elevators, fireplaces, and his-and-hers spas, I couldn’t help but wonder — when did these celebs realize their lives had changed forever? Was it when they ok’ed the 24th bathroom? When they bought a home with one working sauna and said, no, we need two more? I’m all for treating yourself (though for me that looks more like occasionally splurging on a nice scented candle). But when it comes to these stars, I’d never even heard of some of these highly particular specifications.
These houses — really, these small hotels-slash-private islands — may have forever changed how I see A-list stars. They also gave me serious real estate envy, and I’d do it all again. Find out which celebs secretly live in the craziest pieces of property you’ve ever set your eyes on, right here.

If that isn’t your design aesthetic, then perhaps we could interest you in the leopard-print living room where the animal patterns create a dizzying array of fabrics. Surprisingly, Ivana’s primary bedroom actually has a calm, serene vibe of soft pastels that defy all the over-the-top themes for the other rooms in the residence. (See the photos HERE.)
