Every year, TV networks hold our emotions hostage while we wait to learn the fate of our favorite television programs. Will that drama you’re deeply invested in get renewed? Will your cherished sitcom be picked up for another season? Or will they both get the axe, and slowly fade into oblivion? Sometimes, we’re on the edge of our seats until the last minute. But thankfully, we already know that some of our most beloved TV shows have already been officially renewed in 2019.
So, what are they?
We have confirmation that Fox’s 9-1-1, which is part of the Ryan Murphy stable of shows currently on the air or in development right now, will be returning for season three later in 2019. Starring Angela Bassett and Parenthood alum Peter Krause, the series follows a group of Los Angeles firefighters, police officers and 911 responders as they handle various calls throughout the LA area. Additionally, The Resident, starring Gilmore Girls alum Matt Czuchry, will return for a third season at Fox, The Conners got a season two renewal over at ABC and Shameless will be back for another go-round on Showtime.
