Halle Berry battles paparazzi while Nahla looks on
Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez and her daughter Nahla were swarmed by paparazzi photographers upon their return to LAX this week. While the actress shouted at the shutterbugs, her beau allegedly assaulted one of them!
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez landed in paparazzi hell upon their return to Los Angeles from what looked to be a blissful vacation in Maui. The photos above are just two of many that were taken as the pair, along with her 5-year-old daughter Nahla, made their way through the gauntlet of cameras.
"Get away from the child, Jesus, what... is wrong with you people... that's a child here," Halle Berry was heard shouting as they made their way to a waiting car.
Though he was tasked with carrying a barefoot, camera-shy Nahla through the mayhem, Oliver Martinez allegedly assaulted a paparazzo by kicking him in the leg and wrist.
As her lover's temper flared, Halle Berry stepped in, shouted "Olivier, no!" and pushed him toward their car rather than let him interact any further with the camera-wielding swarm.
Airport police confirmed that authorities responded to a report of an alleged battery, but names of the parties involved were not released.
"The victim, a photographer, told police he had been hit by a male suspect, but the suspect left the location before police were notified. A battery report was taken and airport police are investigating the incident," a statement explained.
"No arrests were made because by the time the police were contacted the suspect had fled," Sgt. Karla Ortiz, assistant public information officer for Airport Police, said. "Police are continuing to investigate."
You may recall it was just last November that Olivier Martinez and Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry came to blows at the the star's home.
Page Six reports Halle Berry is fed up with the paparazzi intrusions and is turning to fellow moms in the spotlight for help.
"Halle Berry is reaching out to her famous friends, including Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, to help her block photographers who take unauthorized pictures of celebrity children," they reported, adding she "wants to lobby for a legal ban on pictures of young children of celebs here in the US."
