Josh Duhamel has an incredibly hot make-out scene with Julianne Hough in this Valentine’s Day romantic thriller, Safe Haven. So when we met up with the heartthrob, we just had to ask if he’s a sucker for dramatic, romantic moments.
“For me, the most interesting part about this relationship was the little things that happen between these two,” said Josh. “It felt real. So when they do kiss under the tree, it means something. You have to earn those moments.”
When it comes to real-life love, Josh certainly sounds like he earns it with his real-life love, Fergie. Duhamel told us he follows a few simple rules to make love last.
“Valentine’s Day isn’t the only day you should be super romantic,” said Duhamel. “I think that every day, you should do something thoughtful. It doesn’t have to be some big overture that blows her off her feet. It’s the love, and the consistency and the fun that you find every day… something little, just to let her know that you’re thinking about her.”

Wow, Fergie is a lucky girl! But relationships are not always roses, Josh admits. The actor told us about one Valentine’s Day he remembers when things went awry.
“I definitely remember the worst one,” said Josh. “I was at the Pebble Beach golf tournament, and I found out that I got to play on Sunday, but I scheduled a flight, and I paid a bunch of money to get on a private flight to get back in time, and the plane had to stop halfway, so I missed our date. And I think it’s just about showing up when you’re supposed to. When you say you’re going to be there, you should be there.”
Somehow, we doubt Fergie was able to stay mad at this cute face!
