Reese Witherspoon to sing with "big fan" Michael Buble
Reese Witherspoon to sing with Michael Buble? You'd better believe it! The professional crooner has confirmed the actress will once again bless us with a song.
Reese Witherspoon and Michael Buble are officially working on making sweet, sweet music together! Word broke Wednesday the actress, who famously showed off her pipes in 2005's Walk the Line, has agreed to duet on a single.
Referring to rumors Reese Witherspoon is to sing again, Michael Buble said on the UK television show Daybreak, "By all accounts it would be true."
Gushing over the actress, seen here beaming in New York City on Dec. 5, he added, "I just really am a big fan and so myself and my camp, we wanted to do this with her and we were thrilled that she was excited about it too."
He's excited, she's excited — and let's not forget about the fans! One Twitter user predicted the Witherspoon-Buble collaboration will be a "total eargasm."
With such high expectations, it's a bit of a surprise Reese Witherspoon has agreed to sing again. In 2004, she commented on prepping for her role as June Carter, saying, "It's been so hard, it's been really, really one of the hardest movies I've ever had to make."
"I had to do four months of rehearsals. I had to learn to play autoharp. I had to take singing lessons. I had to record an album, which was the most challenging, horrifying experience of my life. Me singing in front of people while they're listening to me is just horrifying. And it gets exponentially horrifying when extras show up and have to watch you and you have to pretend you're at a concert and singing and they like it."
Here's hoping Michael Buble is planning for a private studio session, for Reese Witherspoon's sake!
