This year's CMA Awards are filled with surprises. Fans from all over have come out of the woodwork, including Tim Allen. The actor and comedian is one of the many presenters set to appear on tonight's show. But before hitting the stage, Allen spoke to SheKnows about country's biggest stars and his former cast mate, Pam Anderson.

When you think of the CMA Awards, you think of Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Tim Allen... wait, Tim Allen? What's he doing there? That's what we asked him when he strolled down the red carpet before tonight's show.

Turns out, it's all about the magic of cross-promotion. Allen's the star of the ABC sitcom Last Man Standing, and McEntire's a country legend who headlines the new series Malibu Country. The two shows will appear back-to-back on the network's new Friday lineup, so both of their stars will present during tonight's awards.

Allen also revealed that he's been spending time with country's most popular couple — husband-and-wife team Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who happen to be his hotel neighbors.

"Theirs is right across from mine. She [Faith] looks great. I don't care for him so much," Allen joked. "That leather hat, I'm getting one of those. He did a whole interview at the Venetian with the big leather hat. Damn, he looked good."

Speaking of looks, we asked Allen about his former Home Improvement co-star, Pamela Anderson. Is the vixen as gorgeous in person as she is on screen?

"Pam is a really good friend of mine. She looked so sweet when she came from Vancouver to Home Improvement," Allen said. "[She did] the Tool Girl for three years and moved on to Baywatch. She's startling in person; inside, she's even better. She's got the biggest heart. She's a really good friend of mine."

Great to know they're still friends after all these years.
