Evan Rachel Wood marries Jamie Bell
The couple first dated in 2005 and reunited years later, and it looks like it was meant to be. Wood and Bell confirmed they were married on Tuesday in California.
Wood's rep told E! News that the vows took place "in a small ceremony in front of family and friends in California."
Back in March, the couple had been spotted out with rings on their ring fingers — sparking marriage rumors — but they had not yet filed for a marriage license.
According to E! News, Wood tweeted the same day, "A picture says a thousand words doesn't it?"
But on Tuesday, Oct. 16, the couple filed for a marriage license with the Los Angeles County Recorder's office.
Bell and Wood first dated in 2005, after meeting on the set of Green Day's video "Wake Me Up When September Ends." They were together for about a year, before splitting up. Bell is a UK native and has most recently been in The Adventures of Tintin, Jane Eyre and Man on a Ledge. But he may be best known as the child actor, and title character, in the 2000 film Billy Elliott.
After Bell and Wood split up, she dated Marilyn Manson and was even engaged to the rocker. The couple might be best known for Manson's video for the song "Heart Shaped Glasses." The video caused controversy over whether or not Bell and Manson actually had sex on film or whether it was faked.
"Let's say there were some conservative people involved [with the video] that got a little upset about things that were taking place, and there's been rumors back and forth, but I will not confirm or deny them," Manson told MTV in 2007.
The couple later split, and Bell and Wood got back together. Wood recently appeared on True Blood and the film Across the Universe. But she is staying busy; she currently has five projects in the works, all set to be released in 2013.
There are not many details available about the wedding right now, said E! News, except that Wood wore a Carolina Herrera gown.
