Jersey Shore gang cries over Seaside Heights destruction

The carefree summer days on the Jersey Shore are long gone. The Seaside Heights cast house was spared, but the surrounding area was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.

Jersey Shore house spared by Hurricane Sandy

The Jersey Shore — specifically Seaside Heights, New Jersey — was one of the locations hit hard by Hurricane Sandy’s wrath earlier this week. Many of the area’s attractions and homes were destroyed or under water, though one notable location was spared: The MTV Jersey Shore house.

“Sandy destroyed Seaside — our second home,” new mom Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi told MTV News on Tuesday. “It’s devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm.”
