The drama never stops on Nashville! That’s especially true for Juliette, as she tries to deal with being caught stealing nail polish. If only her fans knew of all her other devious acts.
We’ve watched all season as Juliette has tried to steal Deacon from Rayna (Connie Britton). So far, Juliette has only gotten him for one song and a couple trips to her bedroom. Deacon has continued to deny Juliette the emotional high of completely stealing Rayna’s bandleader. Now, Juliette is forced to find another way to get a little emotional relief. For Jules, “retail therapy” takes on a whole new meaning when she slips a bottle of hot pink nail polish into her purse.
She might have made it out of the store with her career unscathed, too, if it hadn’t been for the camera phones of some of her fans. (Will they still be fans after the incident, though?) Instead of Juliette being ahead with some nail polish and a bit of self-satisfaction, she finds herself in some serious hot water.
What will she do to try to fix her mistake, and will it even work? Who knows, and honestly, does anyone care? Despite her drug-addicted mother, her obvious daddy issues and her inability to find true love, Juliette is still the least sympathetic character on Nashville.
With all his scheming and awful fathering techiniques, even Lamar (Powers Boothe) has earned more sympathy than Juliette — especially when he went riffling through those photographs last time. He and Rayna are going through an awful patch right now, but that scene seemed to offer just a bit of promise. Somewhere, deep inside his being, Lamar has a heart. Now, if only he can find a way to use it to love his daughter without treating her like a puppet.
To find out what happens with Juliette, Deacon, Rayna and even Lamar, you’re going to have to tune in to ABC’s Nashville on Wednesday, at 10/9c.
