Nashville is back with its third episode and things continue to heat up! Juliette and Deacon hit the sack, and Rayna looks like she’s ready to throw some punches.
Fact: There is absolutely no way that anyone is prepared for the amount of drama that is about to be unleashed on Nashville. If you thought the last couple episodes were heated and intense, just you wait.
We’ve got a great sneak peek for this week’s episode of Nashville.
It’s a full minute-and-a-half scene with Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) and Deacon. Juliette is at her most likable, but quite possibly her most conniving as she hides under the sheets with Deacon. During pillow talk, Juliette sulks about Deacon skipping over her and opting to pull Rayna (Connie Britton) up onto The Bluebird stage to sing a song with him at his most recent gig. When Deacon tries to understand the competition between the girls, he gets looped into making a semi-commitment to Juliette. If he could do anything he wanted right now, would he choose to partner up with Juliette or stay with his longtime love, Rayna?
ABC has also provided us with 30 seconds of drama, too.
The highlight might be the ongoing family feud between Rayna and her scheming father. What has he done this time, or is it just more of the same? We’re only a few episodes in, but he’s already done his fair share to hurt Rayna. First, he convinced her husband to run for mayor at one of the most stressful times in Rayna’s life. Since then, he’s went on to not only hold over Rayna’s head the affair she had with Deacon, but also insisted that the only reason Rayna has a music career at all is because he paid off the label when she was a kid. Is there anything Rayna’s father won’t do to keep her in his pocket?
For the third week in a row, we’re also given a snippet of a confrontation between Juliette and her drug-addict mother. Will this finally be the week when she shows up and stuff hits the fan, or will we be strung along for yet another week?
