Lindsay Lohan finds trouble again
The actress doesn't know how to stay in on a Saturday night and rent a movie. After a night out on the town, an altercation over cell phone photos escalated in her New York City hotel room.
Lindsay Lohan was attacked early Sunday morning, after taking a fan\'s phone and trying to delete photos and videos of her partying all night.
Trouble always seems to find Lindsay Lohan, and early this morning was no exception. Lohan was allegedly assaulted by 25-year-old Christian Labella after the two met at a New York City nightclub, 1Oak. He is said to have followed the troubled actress and her group back to the W Union Square Hotel from the Chelsea neighborhood hot spot.
According to reports, Labella had been taking photos of Lohan all night long while she was partying with her friends. This reportedly did not please the troubled starlet, who asked him to delete the photos. The pair got into an altercation inside her room when she snatched the phone with the photos from him. Labella started running after her, and the fight moved out into the hallway and into another suite. Lohan locked herself in a bathroom , but when she reemerged, Labella gave chase yet again into the hotel stairwell.
The cops were called after Labella allegedly tried to choke the Mean Girls actress and then flee the scene. Lohan pulled the fire alarm to prevent his escape by elevator. He was eventually detained and arrested in the stairwell. The cell phone photographer was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment.
Lohan did not seek medical treatment, but her overworked publicist, Steve Honig, did release a statement saying, "Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel. While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized. The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody. Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation."
Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, told the NY Daily News, "She's very shaken up. Thank God he didn't have a weapon."
It's unclear whether Lohan knew Labella before the fracas began, but the shutterbug seems to have an affinity for celebrity photographs, as TMZ has already dug up his picture with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian.
Lohan moved to New York to stay out of the trouble that always seemed to find her in Los Angeles. The change of scenery appears to have been a miserable failure, as she was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after clipping a chef's knee with a borrowed Porsche just a few weeks ago.
Lohan is going to try to remind us that she's still an actress with the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick in November.
