Vampire Diaries: Will the real Klaus please stand up?
We're going through Klaus withdrawal. The Vampire Diaries is on hiatus, and once it returns, we'll still have to wait before seeing Klaus again. Thankfully, The CW has released a new video that sheds some light on his future.
The Vampire Diaries' Klaus is up to his old tricks again. At the end of Season 3, we watched in horror as Evil Alaric stabbed him in the chest. We thought he was a goner until he reappeared with a new body — Tyler's!
The CW has released a behind-the-scenes interview with Klaus portrayer Joseph Morgan, discussing the character's future. The actor revealed what's on his alter ego's agenda for Season 4.
"I think now it's going to be about getting my own body back," Morgan said. "I hope it is, or [Michael] Trevino's just going to do my job for me for the next couple of episodes."
Next up is the potential relationship between Klaus and Caroline. Morgan is constantly asked about his character's unrequited love. Unfortunately, he doesn't write the scripts, so he doesn't have an answer.
"You know what's funny? It's how much influence people think you have on it. Like at the end of Season 2, I got all these tweets, 'Please, whatever you do — you can kill anyone — don't kill Damon.' It's like I have a choice in any of it?"
So, what have we learned from this interview? The Tyler-Klaus switcheroo won't last long, which means Morgan's handsome face will be back sooner rather than later. And Klaus and Caroline's storyline is out of the actor's hands.
The Vampire Diaries returns Oct. 11 on The CW.
