Giuliana Rancic dishes on the joys of motherhood

Giuliana Rancic might love being amongst the glitz and glamour of the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards, but she revealed to us that she couldn’t wait to get back to her baby boy.

Giuliana Rancic was all about the beautiful dresses at the 2012 Primetime Emmys, but there was something that was preoccupying her attention on the red carpet: Her newborn baby boy, Edward Duke Rancic. The E! Fashion Police host admitted to SheKnows that it was a little difficult to take time away from Duke and husband Bill Rancic.

“Normally the two hours fly by,” she said. “But, I have to be honest: I did keep looking at my phone and seeing if Bill emailed me and checking in on the baby.”

Not that the Emmys weren’t fun, but she said her “priorities have changed.”

Uh, we’d say so! The Rancics welcomed baby Edward Duke via gestational carrier in late August. The little one’s birth capped off a difficult few years for the reality couple: They’ve struggled with both infertility and Giuliana’s 2011 breast cancer fight.

Things are definitely looking up these days, though!

“He’s just the best baby in the world,” she told E! News after his birth. “But I’m sure all mothers say that. He’s beyond adorable, though. I’m completely enamored.”

In fact, she was rushing off to see her boys when we stopped her on the red carpet. However, she didn’t give up the chance to dish on her initial picks for best-dressed at the Emmys.

“I think Sofia Vergara looked beautiful,” Giuliana admitted, adding that she really loved Zooey Deschanel’s look. “She looked so Zooey Deschanel.”
