Songs that moms and kids can enjoy together

It can be difficult to find music for moms and kids to enjoy together. A lot of kids’ music can be too sweet, too repetitive or too grating for moms to tolerate for too long. Pop music can be inappropriate for a young audience.

There are a number of songs and singers who put out music that is perfect for moms and kids to enjoy together.

This Katy Perry hit is a fun, catchy, upbeat song that moms and kids will love to sing along to in the car.

“The Edge of Glory”

Lady Gaga’s powerful, upbeat song is the perfect song for moms and kids to enjoy in the car.

“Set Fire to the Rain”

Though it isn’t as peppy as some of the other choices on this list, Adele’s breakout hit appeals to a wide range of ages.

“I’m Only Me When I’m with You”

Taylor Swift’s song mixes country with pop. While this song is particularly popular, most of Taylor Swift’s music is perfect for moms and kids of all ages.

“All Around the World”

Not all moms can handle Justin Bieber, especially not in large doses. However, “All Around the World” features Ludacris and is appropriate for and appealing to young kids.

Glee soundtracks

Most of the songs on the Glee soundtracks are appropriate for all ages. Moms will appreciate the mix of classic and new hits, while kids will love the fresh takes on popular songs.

“Whip My Hair”

By young singer Willow Smith, daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, this fun song will get stuck in your and your kids’ heads. While this is her most popular song, all Willow Smith songs are upbeat, catchy and clean.

“Just the Way You Are”

Most of Bruno Mars’ songs are fun and appropriate, though some of the mellower songs may not appeal to a younger audience. This song, though, has a great message with a catchy chorus.
