Did Zach Galifianakis get married over the weekend?
The actor and his bride sent the media on a wild goose chase over the weekend. But the question is, did they tie the knot?
On July 25, Celebuzz reported that they had received news of Zach Galifianakis’s wedding invitation. The 42-year-old actor and his 29-year-old longtime girlfriend were quietly engaged, and sent out the invitation saying they were getting married Aug. 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
“The wedding invite is very Zach,” a source told Celebuzz. “While it has the formal and standard details of who, what, when, where -- including Zach’s full name Zachary Knight Galifianakis and his fiancee’s Mary Quinn Lundberg -- it is also very funny.”
According to the website, Galifianakis included a drawing of himself and his future bride. “He made sure he looked like a little troll, while Quinn is a stunning tall blonde princess.”
In preparation, the media in Vancouver staked out the possible locations for the wedding all day Aug. 11.
“The couple did in fact have their rehearsal dinner at the Tea House in Stanley Park this past Thursday, but did not return,” said Vancouver website Vancitybuzz.com. “Instead the couple pulled a three-card monte and kept us guessing on where the event would actually take place. Having paparazzi posted at all the Greek Orthodox churches in the Vancouver area, frustration grew as Zach and Quinn were no shows.”
The website did say they believed the wedding did take place later at a place called UBC Farms, with stars such as Sarah Silverman, Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper in attendance, but that has not been confirmed.
According to People, the farm posted a message earlier in the day saying they were closed for the rest of the day.
“Galifianakis has dated Lundberg for several years, according to a 2011 cover story in Rolling Stone,” said People. He told the magazine that “Quinn is the coolest.”
In the same interview, he also told Rolling Stone that kids could also be coming soon "I've been wanting kids for 10 years," said Galifianakis, according to People. "I'd love to adopt, have them naturally -- all of it. I want, like, 15."
The couple has yet to officially announce their marriage, but it looks like the actor has added one to his pack.
