Remember when Chris Crocker cried for everyone to “leave Britney alone!!!” during her 2008 meltdown. Well, these Twilight fans make Crocker look downright calm in comparison.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” Stewart said in a statement to People. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
While we don’t know how Pattinson — and Sanders’ wife, Liberty Ross — are currently reacting to this betrayal, we do know how Twilight fans are feeling. The general consensus? They’re completely and utterly heartbroken, disappointed and just mystified how KStew could step out on someone as utterly perfect as RPatz.
YouTube and Tumblr are now loaded with posts from fans, ranging from denial to all out disgust with their Bella Swan.
“Kristen Stewart. You b***h,” one Tumblr user wrote.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I am so emotional right now. Why why why!!!!!!!” wrote another.
“When I told someone that I was a fan of Kristen Stewart I said it with such pride! I defended her many times against people who would say she was a weird person who didn’t give a f**k about anything,” another blogger added to the conversation. “But now I can’t ever defend her from this. Not this. I do love her, but I cannot look the other way this time.”
However, the best reaction came from a Scottish superfan known for posting obsessive videos about Twilight on YouTube.
“I said I didn’t want to make a video about this because I thought it wasn’t true,” NuttyMadam, real name Emma Clark, starts off in her video, posted Wednesday afternoon. She soon devolves into tears over the heartbreak.
“You were stupid enough to get photographed doing it!” she yells to Stewart in the video. “Don’t be so stupid! …This is just one step too far.”
“I feel so sorry for Rob,” she bawls. “I can’t imagine what they’re both going through.”
NuttyMadam saves the worst of it for Sanders, though.
“Congratuf******glations Rupert Sanders. You just pissed off a million people cause you just couldn’t keep it in your pants,” she tweeted.
Never, ever, ever upset a Twilight fan. Ever.
