Kristin Chenoweth has been hospitalized after an accident on the set of The Good Wife. The tiny star with the big voice was struck in the head by a piece of lighting equipment!
The culprit for making the set crash onto Kristin Chenoweth? A big, bad gust of wind.
TMZ reported Wednesday afternoon the GCB star dropped to the ground after being hit by the lighting equipment, striking her head on the pavement. Just after 5:00 on the Brooklyn set, someone called 911 to report the accident and request ambulatory services.
A witness at the scene commented, "That area is a vortex for wind... a big gust of wind blew the lighting off the scaffolding." Adding that Kristin Chenoweth appeared to be "knocked out cold," the witness stated, "I thought she was dead at first."
Paramedics responding to The Good Wife accident fitted the 4-foot-11-inch star with a neck brace before putting her on a stretcher and taking off for a nearby hospital.
TMZ claims a rep for the New York Fire Department told them the star is only being treated for "minor injuries," however other outlets report no update has yet been giving on Kristin Chenoweth's condition. The 43-year-old actress was on The Good Wife set to film her guest role as a political reporter who causes campaign and relationship trouble.
Other on-the-job pain incidents in the star's recent history include a neck injury during her pre-Broadway engagement of Wicked in 2003, a fall off of an elevated stage while rehearsing for The Apple Tree in 2006, and a 2011 back injury after tumbling down a set of stars on the Glee set.
